Prom night is a special ceremony that requires careful preparation. Every girl, preparing for graduation, dreams of finding the perfect dress. Some buy it themselves, others are helped with the choice by their parents.
But the young Philippine citizen Ciara Gan chose another approach – time-consuming, but more budget-friendly and unique. The 17-year-old graduate decided to come to the ball in a dress of her own making. To make it, she made a paper model similar to the dress of a princess from fairy tales. Then Ciara prepared the patterns and carefully sewed them. Four days later the dress was ready.
Looking at the result, she wanted to decorate the outfit with lilies. But not real ones, but painted ones. Ciara loved and knew how to draw. The result was décor that reflected the tastes and interests of the needlewoman.
But drawing took a lot of concentration and care, and no wonder – the slightest stroke to the side and the workpiece is ruined. But the girl did a great job – the flowers looked beautiful and natural, and not every adult and experienced seamstress can do that.
Ciara posted a photo in the dress at the prom on her social network page, which caused her admiration among her followers. In a few days the publication from the prom has collected over 400,000 likes and 83,000 reposts. For her hard work and talent, the queen of the evening was rewarded with a huge number of delightful responses.
And given all the hardships of the process, she really deserved it. In parallel, the schoolgirl was undergoing her graduate practice, and sewing was done in her spare time.
Network users noted the skill of the needlewoman and recommended her to start earning money for sewing after graduation. However, Ciara has other plans for life. Despite her success, the girl decided to devote her life to science, and enrolled in a university majoring in information systems. But it is not ruled out that she will continue to pursue her hobby during off-hours.
