A dog’s bark can mean many things and sometimes it is the only way for him to get people’s attention. For example, a small dog from the Polish city of Suwalki, subsequently given the nickname Farsik, could only be saved by his desperate bark – the only way he could tell people that he needed urgent help.
Fortunately for Farsik, his incessant barking was heard by the workers, who at first could not understand what the dog was doing in the woods. It took a lot of trouble for the people to locate little Farsik among the trees and bushes, but the dog did not stop barking and was eventually found.
But they could not help him. The dog, seeking warmth, was lying down in a puddle of tar that someone had unlawfully poured out in the woods. The tar quickly got cold and the dog became stuck to it with his whole body, trapping him to death. Although she did not unglue the dog, she found a way out of the difficult situation by contacting the fire department.
The dog was then taken to the vet where the remaining tar was washed off.The dog was perfectly healthy and unharmed and all he needed was repeated washing.
The problem was handled by Joanna Godlewski, who temporarily fostered Farseek in hopes of finding him a new home later.
She was confident that she could do the job – especially since soon the overgrown Farsik turned into a very cute little dog with a kind and cheerful character.
And so it turned out: the dog, rescued four years ago, now lives with a loving family.
