Wild animals, like pets, can be attached to people. Today’s story is about a little squirrel that American Gregory Tyler found on a walk in the woods. The little squirrel was very small, so Gregory thought it probably escaped from its nest during a severe thunderstorm.Gregory did not know what to do with the little squirrel, because he had never had to take care of such animals before. But despite his worries he took him home. At home Gregory together with his wife organized a warm nest for the squirrel with a hot water bottle and they feed it by turns with a special bottle with milk formula. Since the squirrel was not even a month old, he had to be fed every three hours, including at night. Since Gregory and his wife worked from home, it was no trouble for them.
When Annie’s squirrel was one and a half months old, they started taking her outside, where she began learning to climb trees and jump from one stump to another. A little later Annie was allowed to walk outside the yard, but she was always back home after a couple of hours. Annie’s favorite hobby was riding the dog, who also lived with them, and climbing on Gregory’s shoulder on his knees and playing with his long hair there.
One day during a walk together, Annie showed her family how she learned to climb the tallest tree. At the time, Annie was 3.5 months old and that’s when Gregory and his wife realized it was time for them to separate from Annie. It was January, and Gregory decided she would survive the winter at home. And when March came, he took Annie’s cage outside and Annie ran out of it and ran into the woods to her birth family. Annie herself realized that she was being given the right to go free, to her friends on her own milieu. But Annie was so attached to these people that she sometimes went to their house and brought peanuts.
Gregory and his wife were very happy to have rescued little Annie and now she is happily enjoying her life.
