Emma Harper, 41, from Great Britain, has dedicated her life to the role of a real mermaid. Previously, she made her living as a scuba diver, but then she decided to choose a more interesting line of work. The mother of three dedicates most of her time to living up to her status as a real mermaid: she swims in the open sea year-round and can hold her breath for up to four minutes.
She performs six hours of intense cardio training in the ocean every week to keep in tip-top shape. The multi-child “mermaid” is able to dive to a depth of 20 meters without equipment with a custom-made huge silicone tail, dubbed the “Mintail”. The Briton herself is nicknamed “Mischief the Mermaid,” which means “Mischief the Mermaid.
I have large lungs and am naturally good at holding my breath. My first dive was to 15 meters. As an ocean mermaid, I take people with me to dive into the bosom of nature. As a scuba instructor, I teach safety first and foremost.
I avoid swimming with mermaids who haven’t had any training before because I have three children that I want to go home to. I thought my kids would be a little embarrassed that I am a mermaid, but they are very proud of me and do freediving too.
