There are many stories about a dog’s loyalty, and this is one of them. It took place in South Korea, in the city of Busan. It is there that an elderly woman lives, who once picked up a small dog from the street.Since then, they appeared everywhere together – the old lady and her dog, which she named Fu Shi. One day, Fu Shea’s owner became ill and she was taken to the hospital and then placed in a nursing home.
The woman turned out to have Alzheimer’s disease and had no memory of the dog. Her relatives couldn’t take her in and they didn’t need the dog either.So Fu Shea was left alone in an empty house. Every morning she would sit on the threshold and guard the house, waiting for her owner, and at night she retired to her room and slept on the master’s bed.
Neighbors spotted the lonely dog and began to feed it.The kind women next door brought Fu Shi delicious food and caressed her, wiping her tears. The dog wagged its tail and licked their hands in return.
This went on for three years. The dog was already 8 years old and would have probably died on the doorstep of the house where he had once been happy, if the journalists had not found out about this story. Some of the neighbors finally figured out to call TV and animal welfare.
Journalists did a feature on the faithful dog, which was broadcast in many Asian and European countries. TV viewers felt compassion for the little lonely dog, and new owners were quickly found for her.Her name is now Sky and she has had some treatment and she is now perfectly healthy. According to her new owners, she is doing well, getting lots of food, attention and care. They also thanked everyone who sent them gifts for the dog – toys, clothes and food.
