Today we want to tell you the story of one boy who was bullied by almost all the kids at school. Yes, as sad as it sounds, kids can be cruel at times.
The picture shows Evan Hill, a boy from New Zealand. The orthodontist the parents consulted said she had never seen anything like this in her 25 years of practice. The jaw tilt was 12 degrees, the norm was only 2 degrees.
Not only was the boy bullied by his peers on a daily basis, on top of that it was hard for the child to speak, close his mouth and even eat. There was a way to fix it all, but as you may have guessed, very expensive and yes, the boy’s family could not afford it. But they couldn’t afford to watch the child suffer either, so they decided to take out a home equity loan.
But a miracle happened. Right before his parents took the loan, Evan was invited to local television, where he told his sad story. His fellow countrymen were so moved by the child’s story that in no time at all they collected over a hundred thousand dollars.
These funds were spent on the child’s surgery, bought a car, which was needed to take him to the dentist, and the remaining funds were donated to other children who needed help.
Evan is doing well now, he is 20 years old and no different than his peers. For 5 years he had to wear braces. But now they were taken off. The boy is very grateful to everyone who was involved in his story.
