There are still people in our world who are ready to help even an animal in distress. One such story recently took place in Canada, in the province of Alberta. Its hero was a young oilman, Kendall Divish.
The man was on duty that day. As usual, he walked around the wells and checked their operation. Canada is a northern country, and winters here are harsh. This time it was especially cold, and in addition, a lot of snow had fallen the night before. The wells were fine. But near the last one, Kendall heard a faint sound, like a squeak. He couldn’t see the source of the sound, so he decided to go to his car. But the squeak sounded again. The man decided to find out who was making it.
Very soon Kendall found three kittens. They were in a terrible situation: the backs of their bodies were frozen to the snow. Apparently, the snow had thawed slightly beneath them during the night and then frozen again, and the kittens were trapped. They were very weak and almost died from the cold. The oilman decided to act. He remembered that he had some warm coffee left in the car.
Kendall fetched it and in a few minutes freed the kittens. Because of their weakness, they couldn’t even move properly, so Kendall had to take them to his workplace. There he fed them and warmed them up, after which the kittens were in good spirits.
Of course, the man could not leave them at home. He found them new owners through the Internet. People read his story and quickly responded to the request. So now the kittens’ lives are better.
