Since 2007, the whole world recognized the problem of an American girl, Jessica, who at the age of eight was over two hundred pounds in weight. The girl’s mother realized that she herself could not cope with her daughter’s weight problem and turned for help to TV reporters.They helped to place Jessica in a clinic, where a nutritionist and pediatrician worked with her. Of course it wasn’t easy for them to cope with the girl’s addiction to junk food.
And everything started out fine, the girl was born healthy and had no developmental problems. Until she began to eat fast food, chips and sugary drinks for all her childhood grievances. At the clinic, when she was switched to healthy food and began to control the amount she ate, the girl even needed the help of a psychologist.
At first she even behaved violently and had to be tied up so that she wouldn’t hurt herself. As a teenager, her weight became normal, her sagging skin was brought back to normal and her health improved. By the age of majority the girl had not weighed more than sixty kilograms, but to keep her weight in norm she had to eat right, eat healthy food, lead an active lifestyle.
She spends a lot of time in sports, she plays basketball, she loves to swim. And she knows that she likes this way of life better than the one she had as a child. Childhood obesity is a big problem nowadays. And even in developed countries like America, Great Britain and China it is discussed at the state level.
Children are educated about proper nutrition since kindergarten. Of great importance are sports and example of parents, who together with children should have more active recreation, to instill in them a healthy lifestyle. The health of our children is in our hands.
