Hi Friends, I’m sure many of you have heard the theory about the extraterrestrial or divine origin of cats. And one of the representatives of the felines from Canada named Matilda confirms these suspicions. Looking at her photo, one can assume that this is not a cat, but an alien creature.
On February 14, 2013 in one of the cat shelters in Canada, a normal and cute kitten was born. After 12 weeks, the fluffy kitty was adopted into her home by a woman named Megan.
Matilda grew older and occasionally began to squint her eye.
After a little over a year, one of her pupils dilated. The owner became frightened, believing the pet was sick, and called the vet. After the examination, the animal was diagnosed with a spontaneous dislocation of the lens and a rather rare genetic abnormality, which implies a deficiency of collagen, due to which the body has difficulty recovering from injuries and surgical procedures.
After learning about this, the owners decided not to operate on the cat’s eyes. However, with each month Matilda’s condition worsened.
In addition, the vet reported that the animal’s eyeballs were too dilated and stretched due to glaucoma caused by a constant increase in intraocular pressure. Therefore, the cat was prescribed eye drops as a therapeutic prophylaxis.
Gradually, the cat with the huge pupils became practically blind. Matilda was playful and affectionate, adored climbing into boxes and rustling paper, befriended her dog and did not lack appetite. Moreover, if you put not enough food in the bowl, meow for the whole house, demanding more food.
In the end, the cat still had to remove her eyes. Now she is gradually recovering, and her owners have set up a social media account for her, hoping to raise enough money to help other animals in need.
