It is often said that music improves the mood, as does a walk in nature. Today we present to you a video that combines these two concepts: absolutely sublime music in a beautiful forest setting. This video is one of our all-time favorites, and this artist’s version of Sound of Silence is gorgeous.
Do you know this instrumental? The video below is delightful because the musician is superb and his choice of song is perfect for the place he’s settled. The artist’s name is Jamie Dupuis. He’s Canadian and went into the woods to play “The Sound of Silence,” one of Simon and Garfunkel’s biggest hits, on his guitar.
But his guitar is unlike any other. No, it’s an 18-string guitar harp. Quite an original instrument that is based on a guitar, but has extra strings installed. You can see in the video that they are not parallel, but attached directly to the second fingerboard.
Quite an interesting instrument that Jamie Dupuis filmed himself playing “The Sound of Silence.” His performance is hypnotic. The guitarist is in the heart of the woods, surrounded by great stillness, and the song seems perfect for this moment.
