The Bachinskys were born on December 30, 2019. They were joined to each other by their heads, which caused them a lot of discomfort.
Lilia and Anatoly, parents of the twins, learned about the babies’ peculiarities early in their pregnancy. But despite the doctors’ entreaties, they decided to leave everything as it was.
Doctors were sure that the girls would share many parts of the brain, making it impossible to separate them. But after Abby and Micah were born, research showed it wasn’t that complicated. In October 2020, the twins were successfully separated at a clinic in California.
The Bachinsky sisters are now two and a half years old and virtually indistinguishable from their peers.
