Many stories have been told about the fortitude of people with disabilities. The most impressive of them was the story of Nick Wujnich, who was born with a severe genetic disease and was born without limbs. He does not like to tell what hardships accompanied him from birth. Childhood Tears
Nick’s parents were living in Australia at the time of his birth. His father was a preacher and his mother worked as a nurse in a hospital. His parents admit that they were very much looking forward to the birth of their first child, but when Nick was born, it came as a shock to them.For the first few months, even his family was afraid to take Nick in their arms.
Gradually, however, parental love won, and he became the most beloved child. It was thanks to the love and support of his parents that Nick was able to learn to use the computer, swim, and even ride a skateboard. In this he was helped by a small limb, which had two fingers. At birth they were fused, but with the help of surgery they were separated.When the time came to enter the school, Nick’s parents insisted that he studied with healthy children.
That’s when the boy fully understood the cruelty of the world. Of course, the children couldn’t understand why he was different and tried in every way to hurt Nick.Then, during his time at school, thoughts of suicide came more and more often to Nick. He attempted to commit suicide at the age of ten. Then the boy asked his mother to draw a bathtub full of water so he could bathe.
When he was left alone, he tried to roll over onto his stomach to drown himself.When Nick almost succeeded in rolling over, he squeezed his eyes shut and imagined how his parents would mourn and how upset they would be. The guy didn’t want to bring grief to his loved ones, so he decided to change his life.
From Victim to Leader
The suicide attempt turned Nick Vuichich’s life upside down. He was able to graduate high school and go to university. But his greatest accomplishment is that Nick became a mentor to many people who were desperate for their destiny.xStarting at age 17, the guy travels to different countries with speeches.
