Dogs are able to set an example of sincere friendship and care for others, and one such case was the story of a dog named Jackson who lives in upstate New York. Jackson is an amazing dog. He is very social and has many friends, both among humans and dogs. Recently, his new friend was a dog with a difficult fate named Tommy.
Tommy’s Story
Tommy wasn’t even a year old when his owners surrendered him to a shelter in Illinois. At first, no one paid any attention to the black mongrel dog, but then he got lucky – one of the animal volunteers suggested that Jenna Termolen’s family come to the shelter to socialize with Tommy.
Although Jenna would have liked to have a female dog, she still agreed to bring the black dog to visit for one day.That day went great. Tommy immediately fell in love with his new family and didn’t want to go back to the shelter in the evening – the dog fell on the floor and flatly refused to get up, he had to be carried in his arms. Jenna and her children fell in love with the dog and he soon became their pet.
Tommy quickly became everyone’s favorite, making many friends among the neighborhood dogs. But in 2015, the family moved from Illinois to a small town in upstate New York, and the new dog grew sad without his old friends. That’s where Jackson came to his rescue.
Jackson’s emergence
Apparently Jackson was wandering around the town, and upon smelling the new dog, he decided to get to know him. He crawled through the ajar garage door and into the yard, where Jenna’s sons spotted him. Since their mother wasn’t home, they called her and told her that an unknown dog was walking in their yard and that Tommy was now playing with him.
When Jenna returned home, the guest was still in their yard. After examining his collar, the family learned the dog’s address and nickname, and took Jackson to his owners. The next day, however, Jackson came to see his new friend again. He sat near the front door and barked several times to let him in.
From that moment on, Jackson came to see Tommy almost every day, and they played together or just took walks around the house and yard.As Jenna noticed, the new arrival made their dog seem much more fun. Tommy clearly has a soft spot for his friend – he whines every time they walk him past his owner Jackson’s house.
Hearing his friend’s call, Jackson would often run out to greet him, and sometimes even lead him home.The touching story of a friendship between two dogs has become an example of kindness to many people. Jackson somehow sensed that Tommy needed his support and took the initiative to help him.
All these years Jackson regularly visits Tommy, who no longer feels lonely. Since Tommy is much older than Jackson, the dogs now mostly just wander around the house or relax on the patio, enjoying each other’s company.
