One day two men, avid fishermen and nature lovers, Brandon Key and Jason Frost, went to the wild and wild Warrior River, away from civilization. They regularly went on such trips during vacations, and of course a lot of interesting things happened during them, but perhaps it was this fishing trip that the boys would remember best for the rest of their lives.
When Brandon and Jason had gone so far away, when there were no more settlements for dozens and dozens of miles away from them. There was one island on the river where they had been fishing – it was very small, and of no interest at all.
And yet at some point the men turned their eyes there, for there was some movement, and then there was a splash, and “something” swam toward them on the water. What it was, the men did not know at first. A beaver? An otter? A muskrat? No one could figure it out until the mysterious beast moved closer. But when it did, it was clear – it was a red cat.
The guys swam up to him and dragged him into the boat, as the emaciated, emaciated animal could barely swim. They had barely got on board when they heard another splash, again near the islet. And again a familiar red silhouette swam to the boat, again the men dragged on board an almost exact copy of the first cat.
After a dive with the rescued men around the island one of the men decided to get off the boat and look for other cats, but a thorough inspection of the small island gave no results, apparently there were only two cats. But how they got there is a big, big question. As has already been said, there are no settlements near that place, so it is unlikely that cats, which, by the way, were not afraid of people, could have come to the island by themselves.
Most likely, someone “carefully” brought them there, although it is difficult to imagine why they had to go to such an unimaginable distance, and even to swim to the island. In general, it is clear that there is nothing to understand.
One way or another, the men got the cats. The fishing trip was over and they had to get ready for the return trip. They did not know yet where to put the animals, but the question was resolved itself. Back at the usual spot, where Brandon and Jason had launched the boat, a family had spotted them. It was hard not to notice the men’s boat, for it had two redheads on the bow.
In general, the vacationers approached the fishermen when they were moored to the shore, and learned the above story. Since the family was with children, the children immediately began to ask to take the kittens, and after a few minutes, the parents gave in – so fluffy from the island and were at home with loving people.
