Chris Walton, 47, has not trimmed her nails in the last 20 years and as a result has made it into the Guinness Book of Records. To date, the total length of all her nails is more than 6 meters. And they are twisted in such an intricate way, that it would seem to make any action impossible.
Chris works as a singer in various venues in Nevada and California. But her voice is probably far from the first thing you’d notice when you see her on stage.
Looking at Walton, it’s hard to imagine that she is the mother of five children, that she cooks and cleans the house on her own, and even plays the piano and successfully uses a computer.
Many women who see information on this site about a chain of nail studios will rush there to get their nails in order, but Walton prefers to do everything herself, oddly enough. She just doesn’t trust outsiders with her wealth, which makes her not only recognizable, but also world-famous.Says Chris Walton: “It’s like growing a long beard or mustache.
But I didn’t grow my nails on purpose, I just stopped trimming them at some point and that was it. I went on with my life, they kept growing. I think it’s because I don’t pay attention to them, and sometimes I even forget I have them.
A lot of people think that my nails are very brittle and can break from any movement, but in fact it is exactly the opposite. And my acquaintances know it well.
I joke that in my next life I will grow out my nails and pretend I can’t do anything so everyone works for me. Unfortunately, my daughters can’t do anything the way I would like them to, so I have to do everything myself.
I have never been stupid enough to become helpless just for the sake of long nails. In that case, I’d rather draw attention to myself with my music. I’ve been performing since I was 14 years old.
