Prince and Love Zalte were born on September 19, 2016, in a Mumbai maternity hospital in India. Their mother Shetal learned they were Siamese twins when they were five months pregnant.
Not yet knowing if there would be an opportunity to separate them, the Zalte family began saving for the upcoming procedure.
After Prince and Lave were born, they were carefully examined. Several specialists came to the conclusion that they could be separated after some time.
Shetal and Sagar never doubted their decision to separate their children for a minute. They went to the best clinic they could afford.
When the brothers were a year old, a whole team of specialists began the long preparations for separation. The process took about two months. The procedure itself was scheduled for December 12, 2017.
New LifeFor 12 hours, 30 specialists worked to give Prince and Love a new life. It wasn’t until the morning that Dr. Shakuntala Prabhu made their parents happy with the good news, “Everything went well!”
Becoming independent of each other, the children had a lot to learn. Under the supervision of specialists, they learned to crawl, stand, and walk.
Their first independent steps babies made only two years.The whole year, doctors watched for Prince and Love. During this time, they became almost family to each other. On the first anniversary of separation, the entire clinic team came to the Zalte family home to celebrate this happy event together with a cup of tea and a piece of birthday cake.
The separation of the Siamese twins was a big step in the development of the clinic. It is now one of the leading clinics in the country dealing with such cases.The twins, who were separated in 2017, are now almost 4 years old. The children lead very mobile lifestyles and are almost no different from their peers.
The brothers spend almost all their time together.
