Call me crazy, but today on my way to work I saw a garbage bag that looked like a bird. I cast a second glance at it, only to realize that my eyes were deceiving me, and that it was actually no more or less than a regular plastic bag.
Most of us probably have optical illusions from time to time. They distort reality in such a way that we see objects, shapes, or things that are not really there. It usually doesn’t last long, but it doesn’t make it any less realistic.
Scientifically speaking, when it comes to visual patterns that appear in random objects and places and occur purely by chance, a system in the brain is triggered that causes us to see familiar objects in very strange places — like the appearance of a face in a cloud.
It turns out it’s all about our ability to see, and the brain, converts the raw sensory data we get from the world around us into a better form.
Most of these refinements are intentional and designed to help us survive.
Here, for example, you will see a painting of a landscape, but it is not a painting at all, but a window with a wonderful view of the world!
After all, it’s not for nothing they say, look closely – not always the first impression is right..
This is not a towel, not a fur rug, – it’s snow.
Animals in general are obvious weirdos:
In the first photo – it looks like it’s just a bucket of flour, but the cute face makes it all clear. In the second photo, it looks like a cute little bear cub, but not like a puppy. And the coloring of the caterpillar, which has a row of penguins on it, won me over.
